Juniper & Josie

10.29.2018

Something I do not want to forget about right now is how much these two girls love each other.  Josie is so attached to Juniper and gives her kisses ALL DAY LONG and guess what, she WILL NOT give me or Landon kisses?!!? Only Juniper! She knows it and when we say "kisses" she goes straight to Juniper and looks at us smiling. Juni always makes her laugh, they play so well together and are the little buddies I had hoped for. I know this may not last forever so I want to remember this moment.

Butterflies!

Bats, Butterflies & Toddlers, OH MY! Wearing last year's Halloween for a fun play day!

Swan Rides

9.13.2017

Every week this summer Juniper and I went to the zoo with my friend up in Mass, and we would drive by these swan boats at Roger Williams Park.  I wanted to make sure we went before the new baby arrived and it was so fun to go as a family.  They also had a carousel and train to ride too.

Bathing Beauty

We love our Juniper! During the summer, and especially this summer, we took trips to the beach 2-3 times a week before baby sister arrived.  I love having her as my little buddy to do fun things with.

Blueberry Picking

Juniper loved loved blueberry picking this year.  I wasn't sure if she'd last that long, but she was very focused and quiet and actually would pick all the really good ripe ones I couldn't reach with my huge pregnant belly, so we were a good team.  We loved it so much we went 3 different times!  We found a really nice and small blueberry farm close to us and every time we'd end up with 6-7lbs of blueberries... and surprisingly we ate them all every time without freezing any. haha I'm already looking forward to next year, I love these traditions we've started as a family.

Juniper is 2!

7.19.2017

Since before I've had kids I've always had the idea of doing a little interview of them every year to remember their favorite things at that age and here's Juniper's first favorite things at age 2!  I didn't know what she was going to answer with so it was fun to hear her answers and it was especially funny to hear that her favorite animal and toy was a horse when she doesn't even play with one, I have no clue where she got that.
She's at such a fun age and I love having little conversations with her.  She's such a smart little girl and has grown so much in the last year.
A few more things to I want to remember at this age are:

- She is pretty much potty trained, this last week she has gone #2 every day which was initially the hardest thing to work on with her
- She can count to 20, and speaks full sentences to me now.  She comes up to me all the time and says, "Mommy, what are you doing here?" with whatever I'm doing.
- She absolutely loves snuggling in our bed.  That is the high to her day, she's a completely giggly mess and gets so happy when both Landon and I snuggle her under the covers.  She requests it pretty much 5 times a day.
- She is ready to be a big sister.  I feel like she fully understands, she will kiss my belly and say "baby sister" and she calls herself big sister all the time.
- Her favorite meal is salmon and potatoes, she eats an insane amount of it and tempts me to make it for her every night because of how well she eats.  I've been secretly mashing in white carrots into her potatoes so she gets it all :)
- She loves loves her daddy and when he's home she's a crazier happier self, just like her mommy

Juniper Turns 2!

My baby is 2!  Juniper is the light of our life and it's been the best 2 years.  She is sassy, brave, energetic, silly, smart and such a fun character to be around.  She is usually found jumping off of something and has a non-stop energy ALL DAY long until hours after she's put to bed.  She is so smart and talks so much and I love seeing the excitement and wonder in her eyes through everything.

La Jolla

6.19.2017

It happened to be National Donut Day and I actually was already on my way to get a donut so I knew it was fate. We took our donuts down to the beach, watched some sea lions, ate just the sprinkles from the donuts, and then somehow ended up in the water which was not planned.  I thought it was going to be too cold, but I forgot that Juniper was Landon's child and didn't care so we were soaked by the end of our visit.

Early Birthday Party

Juniper's birthday isn't until July but since we were with family we decided to do an early little birthday celebration/going away party at my brother's new pool before we left.  Juniper is VERY into birthdays right now, one day out of the blue she requested "happy birthday song" as I was putting her to sleep and ever since then she sings happy birthday all the time and plays "birthday party" with her little animals, so I thought it would at least be fun to make a cake and have everyone sing to her... and she loved every second of it.
My sister gave her a Little Mermaid bubble wand that the kids all saw at Disneyland so they were all excited to play in the bubbles.

The Very Hungry Caterpillar

6.17.2017

Notice the baby belly :)
During this time of the year Rhode Island has TONS of caterpillars everywhere.  When I moved here last year I was amazed and excited for tons of butterflies to be everywhere in the next couples weeks... well little did I know they are gypsy moths and little annoying brown moths that cover everything.
So with us seeing caterpillars everywhere I thought it would be fun to make some edible ones with fruits and veggies.  Juniper loved playing with them until she realized how tasty the peanut butter and eye balls were... all fruits and veggies were left to the side of course but it was still fun nonetheless.
