Apple Orchard
9.17.2018
Here in Rhode Island there are SO many apple orchards close by and we love to go every week in the month of September. Out of all the holiday treats this season apple cider is my #1 choice. It was my favorite thing growing up so it's something I crave when summer ends. Barden's Orchard in Scituate has the best cider in my opinion (I've tried a lot in the area) so we go to that orchard specifically, and it helps that there's a fun tree swing for the girls!

Sunflower Picking
9.13.2017
Sunflowers will always hold a special place with us since they remind us of Grandma Joan. This was the last day the fields were open before they cut them down for the corn maze, so when Landon got off of his night shift we went last minute super early in the morning. These spontaneous trips always end up being the funnest!
Blueberry Picking
Juniper loved loved blueberry picking this year. I wasn't sure if she'd last that long, but she was very focused and quiet and actually would pick all the really good ripe ones I couldn't reach with my huge pregnant belly, so we were a good team. We loved it so much we went 3 different times! We found a really nice and small blueberry farm close to us and every time we'd end up with 6-7lbs of blueberries... and surprisingly we ate them all every time without freezing any. haha I'm already looking forward to next year, I love these traditions we've started as a family.

Oakland Beach & Iggys
4.27.2017
My mom came to visit us again over her spring break which is always such a treat for us!
If you come to visit us, one of the first places we will bring you is here at Oakland Beach... not for the beach but for the food! Rhode Island is known for Iggy's Seafood, they were on The Food Network, and have the few things RI is known for... clam cakes, stuffies, and doughboys along with some really yummy clam chowder and fish n chips (what I always get)! There is also an awesome playground right on the beach so you really can't beat the beach, food and somewhere to play for your wild one.
We lucked out with no one being there that day since it had rained the couple days before!
