Independence Day!

7.05.2012

Our 4th of July celebration started this past weekend.  Since the boys all have work during the week, we decided to take the weekend off to travel over into Charleston, South Carolina!  We went with 3 car fulls of people and enjoyed our time swimming in the Atlantic, eating lots of seafood, and sweating our brains out! It was 113° with very high humidity, the hottest I've ever been here in the states! We loved our time in Charleston and loved being able to spend some relax time with all of our friends.

Yesterday, Independence Day, we started the day off right with some red, white and blue waffles.  We then packed 8 people into a little car and drove downtown to walk around and get parking for the Braves baseball game.  It was Landon's first professional baseball game so I think it was the most American 4th of July to show to this Canadian.  With all-american foot-long hot dogs, baseball, fireworks, and chanting U.S.A... I don't know what else could be any more of an American experience.    It was a great day with our friends and it will be sad leaving them a few weeks!
