Homemade Graham Crackers

6.12.2012

Perfect with warm milk, tasty with homemade whipped creme and strawberries, and best yet, sandwiched with roasted marshmallows and chocolate, you can never go wrong with homemade graham crackers... and yes, maybe I've had all those within the last week. Summer is here which means outdoors, camping, and s'mores! Surprise your friends at the fire with homemade delicious, buttery salted graham crackers.  The only bad thing is you feel even more guilty eating these s'mores because of how good they taste! But in reality , it's healthier because you actually know the ingredients in the cracker!
I grabbed the recipe from miss Martha, I was debating between hers and this recipe, but since I had everything in my pantry for Martha's, so that made the final decision.

Homemade Graham Crackers

1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1 c. whole-wheat flour
1/2 c. un-toasted wheat germ
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking sode
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 c. unsalted butter, softened
3/4 c. packed brown sugar
2 tbsp. of your best honey

Go here to get directions.  The way I made these was a bit interesting.  Since I don't have many kitchen utensils here with me in Atlanta, I used a spray can to roll these babies out.
