Christmas Day

3.31.2017

My mom sent us these matching pjs which were super comfy and of course fun to match each other.

Our first Christmas alone in Rhode Island in our new home!
For Christmas Eve. we usually do my tradition and have a big Danish/Swedish Christmas dinner, but since we were on our own we decided to do Landon's tradition Christmas Eve. and then to have the dinner Christmas day.  We made TONS of appetizers, decorated a gingerbread house, watched the Grinch and read the Christmas story.
That next morning Santa brought Juniper her first slide! She was obsessed with going on slides and climbing up things so it really was the best surprise for her, she was SOOO excited and happy.  I hope I can forever remember her little voice saying "slide, slide, slide" it's the cutest thing.  She would open up a gift and then slide, open another gift and then put that down the slide, it was a fun morning.

Juniper was so focused on decorating. I decided to enjoy the night more rather than take tons of photos so here's just a few.
The night before Christmas...

The look on her face when she got on her slide for the first time.

Pure joy!

Juniper is obsessed with Peppa Pig so when she got her first stuffed animal Peppa (thanks Mom!) she was SO happy.
At church that morning. Daddy put her headband on, and since she never leaves it on, I didn't fix it :)

We had a simple Christmas dinner with friends. Little did I know it was my last meal for a long time without throwing up or being nauseous.
