The Infamous White Coat

So this probably was my proudest moment ever, I wish I could highlight this post with squiggly yellow lines all over, Landon started medical school!  To kick-off the intense years of studying, they celebrate with a White Coat Ceremony where the med students receive their short white coats. 

For the actual ceremony, the students would wait in line, say their name and where they were from, walk over to a professor, get 'coated' in their doctor gear and then take a group photo.  I was nervous for Landon as he was approaching the stage, and even more nervous for myself to make sure I captured the right shots at the right time! I did not want to miss one thing with my camera, so much that, I had the coordinators of the whole thing telling me that I was not allowed to stand where I was and that I needed to move that instant.  But all that really matters is that I got the shots I needed and now we can show our little Wood babies, in the near future, their Poppa Wood starting medical school. 

We wanted to say a BIG thank you to the Wood family who came all the way from Canada to support him!  We had many days to spend together, but in my opinion this day was the best! We got to watch and support our Landon up on stage representing the few Canadians, enjoy a BBQ on campus, sweat our brains out in the 100+ weather and eat endless amounts of snow cones. 

I am so so so proud of Landon.  I've had a few many tears here and there (and some right now typing this) just thinking about how much he's been through these last 5+ years, how much he has accomplished, and where he is today; he truly inspires me.  

I love you babe and I'm so excited for this new change ahead of us. I promise to make you the best lunches you've ever had and wait for you in the late evenings after your long days of studying. I will always be proud of you and I especially know your parents are so proud of you too. I love you.
