I wasn't too excited for the Taj Mahal, I thought it was going to be way over-rated and that everyone talked it up too much... BUT I Was Wrong. It was breath-taking and walking into sight of it really felt like I was in a movie (I know that sounds cliche) but it really was just amazing and would completely explain why it's 1 of the 7 wonders of the world.
The next day, the craziest day of Holi, we had a train to catch at noon. We learned that Holi was the holiday where you can play tricks - throw all rules - manners - nice things in the trash, so we were glad to be catching a train that day. We did want to experience a bit of it so we got up at 7AM, put on our worst clothes, left my nice camera at home, and walked out into craziness. Within 4 hours I was attacked by a group of teenager boys and Landon was brought into a dancing crowd and clouded with color. Both times coming out of it we were speechless... and we have it on video to prove it, I just have to figure it all out first to post it. And unlike the powdered color we've seen at the Festival of Colors, they also have a spray paint color that stains everything. My hair was spotted pink, I had fuschia skin, and I had pink powder filled in my nostrils... but it wasn't too bad since we had a train for the next 33 hours... enough time for the pink to fade.
