Simply More

4.14.2012

After 40 hours of flight time, 51 hours of crowded buses, 41 hours of traveling by car, and 80 hours of riding the Indian trains we have seen as much of India as we could within the 7 weeks we had planned!  India was absolutely amazing, breathtaking and had such an impact on me.  I'll admit that the first 2 days we arrived, I was entirely stuck in culture shock... scared, speechless, and feeling completely out of my comfort zone, but as each day went on I grew a bigger and bigger love for India and learned a lot about myself as well.  The culture is rich and as one of our friends describes it, "India is simply more." More crowded, more busy, more colorful, more crazy, more friendly, more spicy, more dirty, more dusty, more intense, more religious, and more devoted.  During our time there we met some of the most generous, nicest people who took us into their home, fed us from their tables, shared their life with us and who we now consider life-long friends. We were blessed along the way throughout our trip and I plan to share my experiences each city at a time... but for now you can get a little sneak peek of our entire trip by visiting my website.  I tried to pick my favorites from the 5, 718 photos that I took... it was nearly impossible... but I made it work the best that I could.
