China Town

8.23.2011

The second day we were in San Fran I wanted to go to the Chinese market. I was looking forward to buying Chinese fruits and sweets BUT we sadly ran out of time, we had thirty minutes to find something to eat and then run 15 blocks... yes 15 BLOCKS for our Alcatraz Tour. By the time we got dropped off by our bus we were running through China town in search for a restaurant. We thankfully found a delicious Vietnamese restaurant, got our food to go, and ran ran ran. I snapped these photos while running (& sweating) and sadly didn't get to stop by the local Chinese markets.

Looking at these makes me feel like I should go to the china town here in NYC more often. So beautiful! And to be honest it is prbly a good thing that you didn't eat anything from the food stand. I am always skeptical and you never really know how clean the fruit/food is :)

the only memory i have a china town in SF is the horrible hotel i stayed in there. sinking mattress and paper bath mats. i'm glad you were able to shed a prettier light on the place. ;)
