what's this you ask?!
nope! it's Turkish Hand-pulled Cotton Candy
or also known as Tel Pismaniye.
made by landon.
so awhile back i came across a post by Honest Fare about Turkish Cotton Candy.
i thought it was so interesting and had never seen anything like so of course i showed landon.
landon found it interesting and surprisingly suggested we should try making it...
in my mind it just looked to time consuming and not possible.
well landon made it happen and we tried it 2 weekends ago... and guess what, it didn't work.
so we tried it again this last saturday, mainly for landon's sake, and guess what again... it didn't work.
soooo with landon's drive and determination [everything that i lack] the third time was a charm and
we finally got it!!
landon did all the candy-making and it came out so amazing.
besides the blisters he got on his hands... [yikes] it was totally worth it and a fun saturday night activity.
you can see how to make it here and maybe even try it yourself!
you pull it in a flavored powder to give it taste. i'm thinking cocoa powder next!
check out those muscles :)
can you tell from lando's face that it was tiring?
almost like a candy spider web
in china they call it dragon's beard. so here is landon's dragon beard.
it is the perfect little snack to enjoy while reading...
especially when it's 50 pages on typography history every night... boring.
