Gili Air was the last island of the three that we visited.  Looking back at our time there, all I can remember is eating the best pizza everyday (made by Italians... yum), watching the vibrant orange sunsets, and taking a late night stroll in the pitch black just to end our evening with a Magnum chocolate ice cream bar.  We're all about the food. :)

We had our own little bungalow for our stay there, and it was quite dreamy.  And for most of the beach, it was extremely low tide so we had to go snorkeling in the mornings otherwise we could walk out for miles with it still at our ankles.  But our second day out snorkeling, the tide was starting to get really low and as we were making our way in Landon spotted a huge sea turtle about 3 feet directly beside us.  Landon was excited and I was scared haha... wild animals scare me.  All in all, the Gili Islands were good to us and we got enough tropical paradise to last us till next year.

What a beautiful place! I too would be nervous if I was swimming near a turtle, but how amazing that it came so close to you
